Round #4 of the 2019 NTT IndyCar Series season takes on one of America's most historic street circuit races of the year, that being the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. This will be the 44th running of the event which has contested IndyCar, FIA Formula 1 & SCCA/USAC Formula 5000. IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship will be in action on Saturday for their first of 2 races on a street circuit for 2019. Also supporting the race weekend includes: Pirelli GT4 America, SPEED Energy Stadium Super Trucks & Historic IMSA GTO Challenge.

Notes going into this weekend:
Kyle Kaiser will race for Juncos in IMSA's DPi class
Acura will return to IndyCar racing this weekend, as they will badge the Honda / HPD engine as apart of a sponsorship deal with Meyer Shank Racing entry
Midweek Motorsport has reported that Sebastian Bourdais will be doing double duty - running in both IndyCar & IMSA races as Joey Hand is dealing with flu-like symptoms

Long Beach has already seen some on-track activity last weekend with Formula Drift kicking off the week of motorsport on the street circuit. Highlights from the finals are below. This portion of the event will also have a delayed broadcast on CBS Sports Network.

I hate the fountain section. Go streight and have a hairpin into Westside Way, have an ultra fast S and a long strait to now turn 9. Best street course ever. Youre welcome.

Finally not called Bubba Burger, wich means Bubblegum and Hamburguer. That's not how I like Long Beach. More like Die Hard Grand Prix.

Drifting & overall car culture (especially hot rods & tuner / JDM ends) is big in SoCal. Irwindale & LBGP are some of their biggest rounds of the championship. LBGP has been on the cards for over a decade now, and the promoters like to bring anything & everything
