IndyCar returns to Gateway for their final oval race of the 2018 season. With only 3 races left in the season, Scott Dixon leads the points, with Alexander Rossi in 2nd (-29), and Josef Newgarden in 3rd (-66) in the points standings. Despite his terrible season ending crash at Pocono, it is very possible that Robert Wickens can still win the Rookie of the Year honors. (Veach would have to at least finish on the podium in the next 3 races, win all 3 poles & lead at least 1 lap in all 3 races to surpass Wickens in the standings)
