Why are they giving print room to one angry old lady who lives 2 miles away from the track and can still hear the racing? (Yeah, i'm sure it must be deafening at that distance....)

They can take a jump, if the race makes money for the city, it'll be back, if it doesn't....it won't.

The answer is in your question 'one old lady', ignore her and take your pick for the basis of lawsuits, ageism, sexism, persecuting a minority rights, nowadays people are so scared of their own shadow they'll bend over backwards to appease a minority, just look at the trouble Legoland are having over getting anything built because one guy in a village a mile away doesn't like the noise generated by the park but they dare not offer to buy his house at a vastly inflated price through fear of being accused of intimidation.

It's stupid.

It's stupid I said.

The only reason I'd ever consider going to Detroit is to attend the race, with no race there's no reason I'd go

On the other hand, Indy is one week earlier not that far away. So still not much reason to go to Detroit, haha.

Me too, but you can thank Eddie Gossage for that

That said, Milwaukee is gone for good. Every time it's brought up in his mail bag Robin Miller makes it clear The Mile isn't coming back and isn't long for this world as a racing venue for any series, sadly.

All you'd need to do it knock off those winglets in front of the rear wheels and you'd have almost a perfect racing machine, looks wise .

And the aero vane on the tub.....Man if these things had the bellowing v10s of F1 yesteryear they would be right up there in my imaginary look of what an open wheel racer should look like.

Corrected. The second chassis will be acquired when Charlie Kimball's budget gets firmed up.

So apparently Portland was unofficially announced as being on the 2018 schedule, only to be quickly removed

only see this posted on TrackForum. Also according to that post, apparently Watkins Glen was off and Mexico wasn't listed either.

Hope it's not true, IndyCar needs to be at Watkins Glen.

I got an image of it before it was deleted from the IndyCar website. I then shared it on Twitter and got DM'd by IndyCar to remove it :whistling:
