I was watching some more of the TV replays a few minutes ago and just noticed that Helio hit some sort of a bump in the pavement as he was passing under Dixon. His whole car hopped off the ground and probably covered 50-60 feet (albeit very low). Crazy that he hung onto it (and the car was still good enough to come home second).

Anyone got a torrent for the full race?

Buddy Lazier has been released from the hospital, by the way.

Ed Jones 3rd. One might wonder where Seabass would've been as that team was fast all month and I think Bourdais was finally becoming competitive on ovals.

"Spotted the Trump-voter" would also be accepted as a reply on that tweet.

Or spotted the person who is still angry over something that happened 70+ years ago and probably should get over it unless their dad was involved or something.

Finally watched this, power outtage 2min before that roll at Monaco, and only back 2h30 into this race, or so. Was asleep.

Never had power problems that lasted so long, never on a day I was marking on the calendar for several months now.

At least, instead of calling the race throug a stream, had to watch confortably just listening to all unfold. What a crazy crash and then the sequence of yellows, and like 5 potential winners coming through the top10 with 20 to go. Loved the race. Sato blew past Helio like he was on another class, well deserved win.

FTFY

Or be fully open about it and also bring out the Japanese-Americans in concentration camps on the US soil that followed shortly after.

Can we take hints from Alonso's words that his return depends on who he drives for in F1 in the next few seasons? He said He'll return. Not He'll return next year.

Are we still allowed to make fun of the movie "Driven" for their over-the-top accidents? Because stuff like this, even Hollywood doesn't dare make up.

1996 indy 500 finish was more spectacular when talking about "over the top accidents" imo

Photos like these below make me dread that some day, the SAFER barrier will cause terrible damage to the cockpit (or helmet) in airborne/flip crashes.

Not saying it's not necessary or anything, and not pretending I've got the solution. SAFER is absolutely vital and helpful for 99% of oval crashes, but in those freak occurrences it gets scary.

Wow! Now I feel like it would have been better had Helio won it. Jump right under a flying wreck and win sounds something that could beat spin-and-win. This picture would be on the cover of every news paper in the world. Astonishing!

Noticed that Dixon was steering straight into Howard just before impact, like at the last moment he changed his mind to go to the right of howard instead of keeping left. If he had not don that the launch would not have been so big I think. It was just a split second decision of course, but if he had kept steering left it would probably have been a smaller incident.

I guess they'll raise the SAFER barrier to like 2,5 meters if those catchfencing continues
