Thanks for posting that. So many faces that are no longer around for whatever reason. Robin, Dan, Sarah, Tags, could go on. Helio looks the same though lol. Great trip down memory lane, thank you for that. |

Great trip down memory lane, thank you for that. You can add Marco to that list as well. But yeah, that was only ten years ago. Things have changed quite a bit. |

Looks like there might be some similar footage of other events at that track too. |

once again is the last day of October, the day we lost Greg and I, as fan, commit myself to pay a small tribute because the legend lives on, with every racer in the edge on racetracks around the world. When someone did the impossible we might aswell remember what Greg did and he could had done All we know we still miss him even after 22 years. RIP |

RIP When I was a wee lad I had the Detroit 1997 race taped on VHS. It was his second career win, coming a week after his first win at Milwaukee. He was really on a roll and imo that's when he solidified himself as a legend. I probably watched that race 50 times. Then came Rio 1998 and that amazing battle with Zanardi and the US 500 at Michigan, the first race with the Hanford device. Of course, he was insanely impressive in 1996 as well and should've done better than the results show. 1998/1999 were definitely a missed opportunity though thanks to the shit Mercedes engine. They were amazing in 1997 (winning 9/17 races) but for some reason (McLaren taking precedence? ) they really did poorly up until their departure at the end of 2000. RIP Greg. |

About Greg Moore, in about two and half years there has been as long time from his passing as his lifespan was. |

Dick Wallen video highlights of USAC Champ Car races at the old Sacramento Mile (the original track off of Stockton Blvd). Footage includes races from 1962 to 1970, as well as photos of earlier races. FATAL CRASH WARNING: 3 drivers were killed in the track's final race for caged supermodifieds / sprint cars in 1970. Footage of that event is at the end of the film. |
