Fuck yeah Takuma Sato. 2 time Indy 500 winner. Who would have thunk that 15 years ago?

Will take a while for me to sink in that Dixon lost this race.

Happy for Sato

If he'd only been a little less kamikaze that could have been his third

Good race, good winner

A shame about the end but that's racing sometimes

Robin Miller's mailbox will be full of people whining about the finish either way, I was just worried about the safety concerns tbh, but aside from that, a very entertaining event.

Rahal mastered the race this year, simply a great job

I would like to officially retract this statement

Amazing stuff for Sato. "Takuma Sato - 2x Indy 500 winner" isn't a sentence I ever thought would be said

It being redded should be for safety with all those crews on the track treating an injured driver on the start/finish straight

But apparently Indycar want to get home for their dinner so running the cars past the medical scene is more important to them that stopping the field and letting the medics do their job

The racing concerns should be secondary to the medics being able to do their job without the danger and the loud noise of the cars making it harder for them to communicate

Was just about to write the same thing. There's a driver literally laying the on track and they insist on driving by.

Either way, good race as always and glad to see Sato win again.

They should have taken the cars through the pits really.

Not a good look, also not a good look by NBC focusing in on it.

Wanted to see Graham make a run, but awesome winner.

Sato was a much more mature driver than in the past, and it paid off again.

Dixon had a Michael '91 kinda 500. Lead a ton of laps, but lost the race on the track, to a stronger car at the end.

Well driven Sato, I think he had the best car at the end.

Hard luck for Dixon.

They should frame this topic for Whiniest Thread of the Year, you'd never know Dixon's only won this race once, 12 years ago.

yeah I know Dixon doesn't have the best luck here. He will likely win the championship but I think he wanted the win here more tbh.
