I'd say broken leg but suspension piercing the cockpit is a possibility.

He's still incredibly lucky if that's the only injury. That was a viscous hit.

Yeah, I think the cause of concern is having another crash like this one, not flipping over, but going straight in. As it was just proved how this crash can hurt, way more, most of the time, than the airborne crashes. And his head was close to the wall, maybe this one was a dodged bullet, and the next one may not be. Another place that I would love being addressed for the next rule changes. Give them some protection like F1 has after 1994. Or even better. This is Indy nonetheless.....

Stewart broke his lower leg bone(s) (never actually heard if it was both tibia and fibula or just one of them).

That was a brutal hit. Any broken bones will be a blow, but I'll be relieved if it's nothing more than that. Every time I watch it I cringe at the impact.

As others have said, a failure could have happened on any of the cars and this is an isolated incident. I hope Indycar can see this and don't over react.

Can he have a replacement? Since they have already qualified.

Indy Lights practice is being streamed right now. They are hitting around 195MPH average laps in single car runs

Yep. They'll start at the back (or 32nd, depending on when they announce a replacement and when Coyne announces Davison to replace Vautier).

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Upper thigh injury sounds potentially a bit worrying. Hopefully it's just a soft tissue injury. If he fractured his femur close to the hip joint, that could be a long recovery.

Indycar is probably saying ET while Graham is saying local time.

Or maybe not. Checkered just flew for the Indy Lights practice. Confirmed on Indycar site, Indycar practice from 4:15-5PM (E.T.)
