That was a 2nd stop for Kanaan.

He is back in the pits again now

Apparently this is the longest run without a caution since 1976.

Pagenaud 7th. I was quite worried when I saw him about the 15th position with no reason.

86 laps is the longest green flag run in this race. in 1977 they ran 86 laps (laps 73-158) without a yellow.

Less than 10 from breaking that record.

A few years ago, they went more than 400 laps (aka 2 consecutive years) without a green flag stop. This is much, much better.

Seeing drivers's head totally "blocked" in the cockpit, with the lateral protections, I wonder if this driving position is less "exhausting", to resist to the G (lateral forces)?

Agreed. Pretty cool seeing such a fast modern day oval race. Plus I hate seeing wrecks at Indy.

The record has been set. 10 laps from round 3 pit stops. The drivers have to be just looking for a break. Look at that field in line.

Strictly speaking, probably, but that was because there probably wasn't anything resembling yellow rules in early 500s.

I think someone might have to ask Donald Davidson for a better answer than what I've got.
