Am I the only one that still doesnt understand why F1 doesnt have a dedicated Safety crew like Indycar has for decades?

Sure it will be more expensive to travel them all over the world but Champcar managed it in their day and in general they're so much better than local crews.

Because F1 is so elitist that it would never adopt something from hillbilly formulas as they see IndyCar.

Because the FIA think gravel and rain are unsafe but sausage kerbs are fine. As pimmy said, no common sense or logic

IIRC it's a throwback to Bernie and Sid Watkins having so much trouble convincing the various circuits to even accept changes to their medical setups and Sid as the authority. They basically had to make concessions to the existing circuits to keep their medical staff and it basically never got changed.
