Allegedly blocked him. Race Control said it was just bad timing that Rahal caught him at a corner.

Saw the incident, apparently Karam got blocked by Chaves multiple times and then went off on his final lap. When Rahal caught him he was recovering but could have done more to get out of Rahal's way.

Looking at yesterday's pole speed, I'm surprised to discover it's faster than the Champ Car qualifying record on this 2.258-mile layout.
