If that are all of Newgardens sponsors, the series is in trouble.

That's pretty clearly just painted up to promote the series.

I dunno Phil...

Btw, sorry about neglecting the 1996 CART season. Planning to do next race this weekend.

However, Hitachi has decided to extend its contract with Penske, becoming primary sponsor for Newgarden’s car which will carry the #1 this year, in recognition of his 2017 Verizon IndyCar Series championship.

Additionally, Hitachi will continue as an associate sponsor on Penske’s other two fulltime entries, that of 2014 champion Will Power and 2016 champion Simon Pagenaud, and will also sponsor Castroneves’ #3 entry at Indy.

Like Philthy said, it was just a promotional thing.

I personally don't think IndyCar have major issues with sponsors and investors right now and in a near future.

They would have problems If they insisted on those crazy ideas that circulated around about 6 years ago when some stupid concepts emerged, like that story of making a different series of everything that existed when they introduced that horrendous Delta Wing and so on. They would have degenerated IndyCar so much that it could have meant the death knell of Open Wheel racing in US.

But I believe today IndyCar will go through a cicle of expansion again. Of course, I don't have any further and privileged information and nobody else have it, but something tells me IndyCar will experience an expansion again.

Contrary to the dominant thought (and many doubt that this will happen) but I think F1 will dive into a downward spiral from now on. That's my personal bet.

The over\under on how long it took Ganassi to pick up the phone again after hearing that is set at 75 seconds.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

The opening guess on how long it took Ganassi to re-open the negotiations that were shut last week.

Whoever runs her car will probably make a profit out of it now. Ganassi still hasn't found a primary sponsor for Dixon, so the money would be useful, and he has no shame, so there is no pride to swallow either.

Danica won't be as newsworthy as Alonso was, but her final race will definitely be a draw that makes it worth putting a car up for her.

Apparently she was asking for a million in salary, which is what put Ganassi (and others) off before.

Now that someone else is picking up the tab...

Oh I didn't know her deal had fallen through.

How can a person who is going to buy their ride, demand a wage?

seems like it will be either Dreyer & Reinbold or Carpenter fielding Danica at Indy. According to RACER.com as well, DRR purchased some new chassis from Dallara as well.

That would be nice, if the GoDaddy money kept Sage around for a few more races.

Sage and Danica would be quite a dynamic duo. I think Sage would love that spotlight.
