COTA would rock, with full layout, but I think IndyCar would go with the short one that cuts from T6 to the last half of the backstraight. That wouldn't be so awesome.

This is why v8 supercars have been running the shorter layout for a few years now isn't it?

It's a shame but if indycars were ever to go there then I suppose the shorter layout would still be decent enough.
It never was easy to pass there anyway, that's what made those races such a rough and tumble endurance fest...

Well, unless indycar want their own San Jose 2005 moment on the tramlines anyway

They should just go to the old Adelaide GP circuit. It's a better track and would be a new venue for the series. Although there were a few really good races at Surfers.

Lucas Luhr will be running at Sonoma in a second car for Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing, per John Oreovicz on his Facebook page.

Confirmed on Autosport too. Awesome! I really like Lucas, he's a speedy driver. Good for him, and for Indycar.

Cool for him, I wonder what he can do with an Indycar.

I heard that the last time Lucas Luhr has driven an openwheel was in 1998. It will be interesting to see him back on an openwheel after more than a decade.

I'm old and sad enough that I can remember Arnd Meier.

*Runs off to check that he actually was German and not from a Germanic part of the US*

Hey, I'm not old and I remember Arnd Meier...and him jumping the armco at Road America in '97.

Oh, and there was Cristian Danner.
