I was in indy 500 mode this past week and looked back on some past races

Man did the 100th running suck in comparison
Nice winner but to hell with fuel mileage finishes to the 500.

If only this year's race had been the 100th, it would've been more fitting

Just a question regarding the tickets for 2018: is it necessary that I apply now or are they gonna be open for sale some time in the future?

I believe they usually open up in September or October

applying now isn't a horrible idea though, could get some better seats.

That's what I did. I applied in september and got my seats in december.

You have to consider that while applying, you put your credit card number, so if you get the seats you asked for, they'll be charged automatically on your card.

Kind of what happened to me. I wasn't 100% sure of going, but when I got (and was charged for) the tickets, there wasn't much of an option :D

Thanks for letting me know :) It's definitely very good to know about the applying thing because right now I'm also not 100% sure about going. Then again, if I'll get them, it would make me just go which I wouldn't mind because I'm planning to drive to DC anyway :D
