Cars seem to be harder to drive this year? Last few years we've got all the way through practice and qualy without any crashes.

Quite the smooth impact, if there could ever be such a thing here. Just rotated and peeled off the LR as he hit.

Looks like the left front did hit a bit hard though. Veekay limped a bit on the way to the truck.

Plus the tires are different this year. Firestone built them anticipating the extra weight from the hybrid components.

All these crashes are gonna make bump day VERY interesting. Still have 30 drivers to make a run too, so it can only get more interesting from here (unless someone wrecks and can't roll out a backup).

Who was that early 90s Indy turn 1 crash where the wrecked car jumped straight into the air while sliding? Can't find it without knowing the name...
