Not like they need a bit of electricity to show their electricity is legal.

0% isnt 0%. I believe it's a rule to try and stop the cars stopping out on track .

Don't you understand, they need some electricity left in the car for examination by the scrutineers. :D

so the guy who won the race didn't actually win the race because he didn't have enough power even though he had enough power

I prefer series where first one to see chequered flag is the winner. Poor Sarrazin.

That actually makes sense. Imagine so tight track like this full of stopped cars

:slaphead: Would <mercedes driver> win if he violated fuel flow limit?

Meh, it's the rules, I'm ok with it. Made the final laps so exciting wondering if the car was going to just stop at 0% and if Sam would get by.

I have rapidly become a formula E fanboy. Just hope this championship can take the next step from excellent inaugural season to having the longevity and desirability to stick around this highly contested motorsport scene.

All in all, for a year one at least a 9/10, good tast.

I didn't watch a lot FE this year (lack of time, no broadcast on my TV channels, forget it, sometihing better to do with my wife), but the few races I watched were pretty fun.
I know the goal of FE is to be in big cities, but the only regret is the tracks were a bit thin, hope they will have wider tracks.

Watching the replays, where exctly was the finish line? I wonder that Duval, breaking in front of Senna, making him brake too, would have give an opportunity for Buemi to cross the line before Senna?
Instead of that Buemi slowed to show the finger to the brazilian. point lost for Buemi?

It's a pointless rule. Might have had a track full of stopped cars in Beijing without it but the teams would quickly learn how much power they can use and still get to the finish. I thought the whole point of FE was to ditch the stupid rules and connect with the fans better, that's the whole reason we have stuff like fan boost right?

I thought that too, why was Sebastien stopping to gesticulate before the line when the chequered was ahead and he could floor it and get by before the line? :?

But then they've run two chequred flags before at places where the it's hard to see the flag due to the radius of the corners, one on the finish and another on the start line. I guess that was the deal here.

A little confused why itv have not shown a British winner on the podium...

0,542 was the gap between Senna and Buemi so finish line must have been very early. That can't be the gap if they are side-by-side (even a bit)

Team/driver probably see the real energy left in the car instead of inaccurete % but in case you already forgot, Sarrazin('s team) just got it wrong. In that sense it would change nothing because they'd still try to finish the race with little as possible energy left.

Sarrazin's team got it wrong in relation to the rule, but why not just get rid of the rule? I'd far rather see teams get it wrong and stop before the line, instead of someone crossing the line and then getting disqualified by a bloke holding a rulebook.

Me too but not on this tight tracks. That is probably the rationale behind the rule.

Team probably would have an illegal car right from the start. I can't accept that you can win with 1 % on the meter when finishing, but if 3 meters before the finish line the energy goes to 0%, you get automatically DQd or a penalty. A proper analogue would be that a car crashed at the last corner, kept its momentum and would cross the finish line without rear wing but got disqualified because of the "dangerous condition of the vehicle". Wonder if that rule exist...

EDIT: Fair enough
