This weekend sees rounds 2 and 3 of this year's world championship from Diriyah in Saudi Arabia. The significant news since Mexico City is that Frijns will be replaced by Kelvin van der Linde, and the proposed fix for the braking issues does work and will be applied to the cars for these races, much to the relief of the Jaguar drivers in particular.

The track layout is unchanged, which combined with the rather slippery tyres should make the slalom from turn 4 to 14 rather interesting.

Schedule (all times AST/UTC+03:00)

Quote:
Thursday 26th January
FP1 17:55-18:45

Friday 27th January
FP2 13:25-14:15
Qualifying 15:40-16:55
Race 20:00-21:30

Saturday 28th January
FP3 13:25-14:15
Qualifying 15:40-16:55
Race 20:00-21:30

Note that the schedule conforms to the Arab weekend, meaning races on Friday and Saturday.

Good time to fix the braking issues with that long run into the chicane. I'm guessing Mortara in particular wasn't too excited.

Two HUGE hits it Qualy so far, and we've only had one session

Gunter's crash was massive

Qualy is so tediously long, there was a short red flag, I know, but the session is double as long as the race anyway, that's just wrong.

Buemi pole, Tinktum 4th, what kinda bullshit grid is this :whistling:

Entertaining session though

C'mon Bird/Hughes/Dennis, come through these jerks tonight and prevail! :8:

Wehrlein has slightly more energy than Bird so he can still make a move.

That's a bit more like it. 2 passes for the lead and the winner didn't run off and hide.

Another 1-2 for Porsche power albeit with two different teams. Wehrlein & Dennis only swapped places from Mexico.

As ever the Formula E race gets better as it builds towards the climax

Some AMAZING new on-board cameras this year, wish Formula E had its own Onboard channel tbh
