Another damn good race, full of drama and suspense and overtaking on a track that probably didn't deserve to have any at all

Felipe Massa as good in the wet as ever, it seems

It was great to hear the crowd completely involved in that race, so much cheering you could hear over the mics

Nice touches from the FE Management too, normally I'm against SC starts but they explained that because the left side of the track was still very wet but the right wasn't on the S/F line, it wouldn't be fair on half the field to lose out so started under SC
I can get behind it under that circumstance

Not sure many other series would go green on the last lap when the field had passed the incident zone either, kudos to them.

It was our pleasure :p
To be fair, apart from Vergne, a lot of the cheering (at my grandstand at least) was every time poor Rowland cruised by with his demolished front wing after the pile-up. I don't know if they showed it on TV but he eventually got rid of it by executing a proper 360 at the T3 run-off

The crowd is really picking up. You could see that Vandoorne has brought over some fans, a few Brazilians as well. It's starting to look like a proper motorsports event with team jerseys, flags, etc which was certainly not the case for all previous years.

Race control was good, but the FCY vs Safety Car still makes no sense to me. When the hailstorm hit, that was the time to throw a proper safety car. I thought they didn't want to bunch up the field, which is reasonable given what happened next. But then again, they did just that at the end of the race, on a wet track, despite a clear track where a 50kph FCY would've been just as good?

Bunching the field probably makes it easier for the marshals to do the recovery they needed to do.
