This will be a problem with timed races all season long. FCY basically ruins the racing time available.

Agreed, this series has come on a lot. Given the BBC are covering it, I'll probably keep up with it this year

Attack mode seems like it's as stupid as it sounded, Don't think it's really added anything and watching drivers have to slow down/drive offline & through a box painted off towards the side of the track just looks really silly. Never really been a fan of fanboost and that hasn't changed.

Jack, Dario & Bob sounded like they didn't know what was going on at times so don't know if there was some issue in the comm box that meant they weren't getting the information they needed as there usually better than this. Also think aspects of the presentation need work, The timing tower for instance ends up taking up too much space & there seemed to be some graphics missing (Race control messages, Driver/team/powertrain name graphics, lap times, gaps etc...). Didn't seem too keen to use the OnBoards either, Did like the one's they had mounted on the wheel guards though especially the rear facing one which would have been nice if an overtake occurred on that side of the car.

There was some decent racing but something about this series just doesn't grab me & i'm not totally sure why. Even when there's some good racing going on i'm just not as engaged with it as I am with other categories & as each season has gone on the less into it I seem to be.

this attack mode could work if it was a situation like peraltada. you place that near the end of outside of the turn and then two cars saido bai saido on the straight

Ended up watching the race twice (as I was half asleep when watching it live, and wanted to see if my opinion was any different when watching it when I was fully awake). Thought the race was pretty good overall. New cars seemed to race decently well (although Gen1 had some pretty good racing as well at times, just got dull after awhile) but I do think the limited track time with the rain helped in that regard. Was neat to see some being able to slide the cars around.

Even with the new car though, I still wish this series had double the amount of power on the motors. Not a fan of "gimmicky" additions to racing in general, but the Attack Mode thing seemed like it could work if it was placed at the right location of a track (rather not have it at all though)

Post-race testing now underway. Simona fastest of the women in the morning by half a second. None of the women were faster than any of the men, which isn't a surprise considering that most of the men already know the track from yesterday.

Afternoon practice can be followed here; https://livetiming.alkamelsystems.com/fiaformulae

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Watched the race yesterday. The attack mode was as stupid as advertised and was highlighted by Lopez who missed it at least once.

I also noticed that the tv director didn't show a lot of onboards (at least not from the rollhoop camera).

The track had some elevation changes and corners but thanks to the lack of onboards couldn't see much of the fast flowing sections. Dreadful scenery and everything looked like it was made of cardboard.
