Vauxhall have pulled out for 2020 meaning no Plato or Jackson this year. PMR intend to have guest (pay) drivers at some rounds. They intend to return in 2021

So was it Vauxhall's decision? The official statement makes no reference, and the cars will still be running anyway

It’ll have been sponsors. Even though they are running as an official team, like others, it’s basically they get shells free and the rest of the money they find themselves

If rumours are to be believed, one of the vw guys is really at risk and another team is considering withdrawing

Iono a season without Plato sounds pretty sweet

Still, BTCC is probably better set up to weather this storm than most series. It's nowhere near as dependent on manufacturer involvement as most other major (particularly touring car) championships.
