It’s definitely money related and has been confirmed by Jordan as being the reason for him withdrawing

Didn't Jordan say mid-2019 that losing Pirtek had put this season in doubt for him?

Yeah, it was always seemingly going to be a struggle for him this season

Might be worth finding my old Ten Tenths login to see how much moaning and gnashing of teeth there is about it :whistling:

Vauxhall have pulled out for 2020 meaning no Plato or Jackson this year. PMR intend to have guest (pay) drivers at some rounds. They intend to return in 2021

So was it Vauxhall's decision? The official statement makes no reference, and the cars will still be running anyway

It’ll have been sponsors. Even though they are running as an official team, like others, it’s basically they get shells free and the rest of the money they find themselves

If rumours are to be believed, one of the vw guys is really at risk and another team is considering withdrawing

Two more good cars down. It doesn't help that there's no money in European racing, unlike America & Australia.

Still, BTCC is probably better set up to weather this storm than most series. It's nowhere near as dependent on manufacturer involvement as most other major (particularly touring car) championships.
