Good race, shame about the time-certain nonsense shortening it.

It's actually pretty stupid they've kept that, because it wouldn't have interrupted any other important football or news broadcasts. Usually they made it time certain to make it finish before the 6pm news, now its finished short for no reason, it finished at 4:42pm or some nonsense.

I've heard there's a 5pm curfew for all racing at Sandown, which explains why they stopped it at that time. It's actually been stopped before the finish on about 8 occasions before, so it isn't unheard of for Sandown. Perhaps they just need to organise the support categories in such a way that they can start the main race an hour earlier next year or something.

That makes a little bit more sense. Although fuck the residents. Don't see people living near an airport demanding planes stop flying in and out after 5pm. You bought a house next to a race track, put up with it.

Exactly that. I find it puzzling that people are allowed to move near something they know makes a lot of noise and be able to complain about it. You moved there, the track was there before you, don't like the noise fuck off :x

I'm sure evening footie matches will bring out a lot of noise but you never hear people complain about that, but I have seen people complain about an increase in air traffic.

Actually in Sydney, there is a curfew on the airport.
