The new season starts this weekend. It looks like there are 18 entries in total but the main GTC class still consists of the same 8 entries from 2 years ago, which is a bit concerning. No growth.

A bit of change in this series after a rough year in 2019 where entries dipped as low as 11 cars. The GTC2 class, which was only attracting 4 cars by the end of the season, has been dropped in favour of the single-make VW Polo Supa Cup. The first car made a guest appearance at Red Star at the end of last year:

There are apparently 5 new GTC cars in-build. Here's a render of one of them:

the new season began two weeks ago. 6 cars in the top class, 11 in the supacup.

nice to see bmw back...

the new season began last weekend. 9 cars in the top class as Audi and VW return. also 16 cars in the supacup

GTC now runs under the name South African Touring Cars (SATC). the new season started last month. grid size is the same as in previous seasons, at least there are some new cras on the grid.
