600+hp and FWD don't mix too well.

Making them AWD would make it boring.

What ultimately was the death knell was when Ford pulled the pin on local manufacturing. It basically forced Holden's (and then Toyota's) hand as the suppliers and other related businesses would have to up their costs with only now two companies to supply....

If only the government had done something to keep Mitsubishi building here...
