Pye has been taken to Orange Hospital. He was unconscious briefly after the crash and has suspected broken ribs.

Good race overall. The finish might have been closer had Whincup not been an idiot, but oh well.

Negative points: terrible camera placement at mcphillimy park meant 2 big crashes were missed due to camera operator not being able to pan round in time

Positive points: the entire race weekend aside from that :thumbsup:

Bathurst was so amazing, watched nearly everything from practice 1 to the race end, all of it compelling

The UK needs a marquee event like this.

Do you mean the Blanchard & Pye accidents? Those crashes were before McPhillamy at Reid Park. That camera position has been the same since 1978

In earlier years the camera was further up the next straight towards McPhillamy, and that position may have caight more of those crashes.

Well a second camera not on the apex of the corner might have been a good idea so the camera operator didn't risk missing it due to panning away

Part of the issue is that there isn't really alot of room at that part of the track to adjust the camera angle
