-I was at the track and it's funny how some of these comments differ from my view of things. I honestly thought the third BTCC race was rather dull.

-There will be a lot of penalties after that third MSA Formula race. The initial incident looked to me like a typical Brooklands crash, nothing malicious or anything. The Norris/other guy (forgot who it was) crash was utterly stupid and dangerous, occurring under what were clearly waved yellow flags. We then nearly had a stack-up when some, apparently blind, drivers decided not to slow sufficiently for the SC boards.

Under the SC itself, Ticktum, who was at the back of the queue, overtook a number of cars until he reached Collard and proceeded to deliberately hit and force him off track. Ticktum has already been disqualified from an entire meeting before (Croft), and I wouldn't be surprised if it happened again here (I haven't checked yet, maybe he already has). He's easily the biggest dickhead in the series.

After the race got back underway Collard clearly had a loose front wing, and as you'd expect, he was shown the black & orange flag. He drove past the B&O four times and subsequently was shown the black flag, which he drove past twice. There is no way he could have not seen them.

That was some Bowman Gray shit and I hope the MSA throw the book at the lot of them.

-On a more light-hearted note, Murray Walker used to say that Mike Smith "guaranteed action by the bucketload". That can now very easily be said about Jeff Smith.

-Hamilton & Belcher had a rubbing/shoving match coming out of Luffield towards the end of race 2, which is what caused Hamilton's retirement.

-As Codename said, it was a Thruxton-like day for left-fronts. In fact, I don't think I've even seen that many failures at Thruxton! Funnily enough, most of, if not all, of the failures were of medium tyres.

-I've been disappointed by the Ginetta GT4 Supercup this year. Even with a good entry this weekend it was still not an interesting race. The Porsches were better.

To nobody's surprise, Dan Ticktum has indeed been disqualified from the meeting. Josh Webster has been stripped of his win in the second Porsche race as well.

And by the sound of it, more punishment could be coming Ticktum's way.

Third BTCC was definitely the dullest of the day, though first few laps must have been good trackside with the guys from the back coming through the field.

Thanks for telling us what Tincktum did, ITV missed it completely. Think he broke Collards front wing, could have some major championship implications.

Yeah while I would still blame Ricky for the initial contact that kind of retaliation is intolerable.
Should've learnt that in karting 10 years ago.

Dissapointing how none of this made the tv coverage. Even the commentators just assumed collard came in to change his nose of his own accord.

I wonder what else was missed :?
