How many front tyres will fail?

How many cars will end up in the hedges at Church?

Anyone know if they've done what they said they were going to do and made changes to the barrier at Church?

But because the work requires planning permission and has implications for Thruxton village's flood defences, it will have to be done in two stages and will not be complete until the start of the 2016 season.

I am assuming there will be some extra tyres chucked in to make the tyre wall thicker?

Well let's hope they've at least competently prepared the tyre walls this year, rather than just haphazardly throw some tyres in front on the trees like safety is an afterthought.

It's really all kicking off in Infiniti Land.
quote from Richard hawken's fb page

Quote:
PERSONAL STATEMENT
I was shocked and surprised to learn from a fan on Facebook earlier that I am being replaced as a driver for the remainder of the 2015 BTCC season. Having been made aware of rumours earlier this week, they were vehemently denied by the team, yet here we are with a change of driver.
To say I am disappointed and disillusioned by the unprofessional, dishonourable manner in which this has been handled, is an understatement. For those who know me, you'll be aware of how much time and effort I dedicated to building this. The next one however will be bigger and better!
I have been advised to make no further comments on the situation at this stage

We don't know what was / is happening behind closed doors. Perhaps Hawken was in breach of contract (sponsorship or other obligations) so Palmer Snr sought to replace him, perhaps Palmer Snr is in breach of contract for signing a third driver (we've seen that somewhere before recently, haven't we...?), perhaps Support our Paras requested a name driver be put into a car to get some needed positive exposure for their cause or they'd cut funding of an already poorly performing project...

Who knows.

The team has come across as being at bit unprofessional from the start, tbh.

Was a tyre failure for Plato in FP1, hope we don't have too many more through the weekend

Massive hit. Belcher collected Bushnell coming out the pits. Wouldn't be surprised if they're both done for the weekend.

Bushell's car looks fixable, it's Belcher's car that will be the question mark.
