looks like we're going for the "move the car somewhere else and call it a day" school of marshalling

"The new FFord/F4 car will have fatter tyres and a detuned engine"

Oh...so more grip and less power then? :whistling:

One day we'll say NO MORE to this kind of shitty overgripped racing :slaphead:

They're trying to get back to the FFord of old, at least they're going the mechanical grip route rather than giving the thing bigger and wider wings thinking that will fix it lol

Bingo, the FFords I knew had way more power than grip, the car had the aerodynamic characteristics of a brick and treaded tyres, they were a bloody handful. Then they gave us zetec which had far more power but the added weight made the cars handle like it had a ten ton weight where the engine was (not to mention their tendency to set the bodywork on fire!), then duratec with slicks, started going downhill after that, cars had so much grip you never got sideways so everybody was going the same speed all the time, now they stick wings on them and wonder why when you get within 50 yards of the car in front you under steer like a reliant robbin...

I did a back to back test at Silverstone once with a formula Vauxhall lotus and a 1600, the FVL was way easier to drive (if a bit more demanding).

I forgot to say if they're going to insist on this slicks and wings route, at least give the cars so much power they have to brake for the corner, but preferably, just go back to the formula that worked lol.
