There was actually a roll in the final race of the day, but the TV crew obviously couldn't rewind their own cameras to replay it, so lets find someone who can:

Also a rain related pile up where literally everyone fell off the track at Mcleans:

VW withdraws from TCR and all other non-electric motorsport.

WRT withdraws from TCR after Audi announce they will not be developing a new car.

You gotta admire TCR UK's nerve/optimism that theres a market for 3 car grids merged with another series that can only pull 4 car grids.

Did anyone even keep filming it past about the 2nd round last year?

Not sure why its exempt from the msa's yellow/red card system. Surely after 2 poor years it should be on a yellow at least.

Post subject:  Re: TCR Discussion

I don't think they do the card system anymore, do they? There are certainly a number of series in the UK that need to be axed though.

While TCR UK was always pointless, I think TCT is a good idea. It's just a case of getting the entries.

Post subject:  Re: TCR Discussion

So the MSA gave their own red card system the red card? Interesting

Yeah there's too many series with not enough entries, as ever.

TCT has to turn up with at least 20 cars next year or it'll be consigned to the dustbin of history alongside that time Dr Palmer tried to launch his own V8 Jaguar Touring Car series in 2005 or so....

Michael Caruso has joined GRM for the next two years.

Somewhat of a car/sponsor throwback as well:

23 cars entered in TCR Italy at Mugello this weekend.

TCT/TCR UK is at Oulton Park as well... with 6 entries. But the addition of 13 VW Cup cars will bolster the field somewhat.

They're still plowing a lonley furrow I see

I'm sure there's a reason they're sticking with TCRUK, but I can't see it atm

That's actually quite low for the VW Cup, so they got lucky they could squeeze in there.
It's usually about 25/26 or something last time I saw it

Same reason for BTCC going to have less cars this year. VW Cup will get most back next year.

TCR however, doubtful. I really would have expected it to pick up eventually, they're not that expensive are they and you can use them in the continental championships too.
