Mike Thackwell had a huge shunt at Thruxton, I think it was the inside of church. Sometime in 80's. In F2(?)

Just to highlight what I meant about the 2002 Clio season. Here is just some of the major accidents that occurred. I want to point out that drivers were injured in a couple of these:

And that was just the tip of the iceberg. Oulton Park was just a destruction derby.

You just posted the reason I fell in love with the Clios

I was younger then.....

There was another flip in that Thruxton race with the oil sump pile up too, only just caught by the cameras.

Cool. Does that mean Simon Belcher has sold enough t-shirts already?

And bits of the car as well, including doors bonnets, boot lid, wings etc. All signed by Simon.

Expect an onboard of the crash to emerge today as well.

I'm mad because it doesn't appear they ship to the U.S.

Would have loved to have one of these shirts.

the onboard from Simon Belcher's car has been released. It didn't load on the page for me, but there's a link you can download if from.

I tell you something, it also looks like he clipped the inside of church from the video. Fairly spectacular

Jackson goes into business for himself against the BARC and the MSA.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

He's bang on the money though.

For me the attitude is key but Alan Gow could do more to protect his teams and drivers in these situations. For instance when the cars started flying of the road and the tyre walls were being rebuilt during the SC periods, the red flag should have thrown. Either to suspend the races temporarily or permanently. There is no doubt in my mind that the size of Belcher's accident was a direct result of the way the tyre wall was hastily and literally thrown back together after the previous crash just a few laps before.

Belcher is now confirmed for Oulton. The car was stripped on Tuesday and is now being rebuilt as we currently speak.

Ollie Jackson and Robb Holland are also going to be there
