No penalty in the Menu/Ingram incident.

Interesting. Personally I think Menu more at fault than Nash at Snetterton in 2009 when Nash got excluded.

See, we get a few more cars and some decent drivers and FFord can produce good racing.

Overall a decent days racing. Looking forward to the next one.

Reminded me of the incident at Monza between him and Muller a couple of seasons ago.

I'm glad no-one was penalised but it just makes me more angry for Hynes. How one is a racing incident whereas the other needs a driver DSQ? Talk about pathetic inconsistencies.

I'm already in love with the new Clio after one round. Top 4 covered by less than a second, top 10 by 5 and with no safety car to bunch them up. Just imagine what they'll be like when they have more cars on the grid!

We'll probably get a better indication of how good the racing in the BTCC will be at Donington, where there's much more room to race & overtake. It does seem with a big grid that people spend most of their time trying to avoid crashing at Brands Indy. Knockhill will be mental.

The stewards have access to more camera angles and data than we do, so if they feel that some incidents are worthy of penalties and others aren't I'd be inclined to believe them. I doubt there would be that much inconsistency at one meeting.

I don't disagree with you there, but the amount of evidence these guys have don't automatically mean they make the right decision. We've seen that in plenty of examples in the past that there are many inconsistencies. To me, yesterday was no different. To disqualify a driver in a one situation but not dispense the same penalty in a situation that was similar if not worse was pretty shocking.
