First meeting at Knockhill to run the track in "reverse" this past weekend. Heard nothing but good things, a possible for the BTCC some day...?

I know Palmer has his hands on 2 dates for Brands every year, but I'd much rather see 2 Knockhill races (one standard and one in reverse) in the season than 2 at Brands.

Makes sense too considering how underfunded the norther part of England and Scotland is compared to the rest of it, especially, (shock horror saying this living in Birmingham) the midlands having Donington, Silverstone and Rockingham within spitting distance of one another...

It's a lovely little circuit either way. The only issue I can see with the reverse layout, is the potential for a head on hit into the barriers at that exposed part of the circuit, after the first (last?) corner.

Reverse is ok for rally or rally cross but I think most competitors prefer to travel in the safer direction!.. At most tracks, going 'against the grain' would leave some horrendous hazards open to them!!

One track that will be cropping up soon enough is Anglesey, now the pit garages are in place it's upto standard, the next would be to improve the access road, it's across land that's owned by the estate that owns the track but there are some houses that permission would need to be granted from.. However if they got it, that would create possibly the best BTCC racing ever!


He will also be staying on as one of the Owners of the team (along with certain others!)

Paul's very hopeful of getting the drive full time next year, he has some ££ left from this year and has sponsors and funds lined up for 2013..
His ITV cameos have helped enormously to raise his profile.. All the little comments from people on the TV shows about 'funding for a drive' and 'getting back behind the wheel' were no coincidence but more a test of the power of the TV show and it seems to be working..

As for Paul, he is one of the hardest working guys out there, given half a chance to drive a car on a corporate day and he'll be there and he covers some miles to do it, any he's a funny guy as well.. Lots of fun to be with!

After the last few seasons, I'm going to be more cautious, and suggest 22 cars on the grid for the first race.

Tomas Engström have hinted that he wants to continue on the progress if his S2000/NGTC Honda. He's not interested in the new STCC. Would be cool if he did BTCC.

That would be cool.

'All the gear but no idea' is pretty much certain to stay at MG next year, unfortunately.
