We've got two new support categories this weekend with BARC Formula Renault and Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge joining the usual lineup. Another bonus is that we've got our third double-Clio Sunday of the year, plus three or four returning touring cars and maybe a new one!

That's good. I thought the BARC race was really entertaining last season.

If Honda can get through this weekend without losing too many points, they should be in good shape for Brands. In theory...

Hmm, not sure if another Porsche race is a good thing or not, can't be any worse than the Carrera Cup. At least one of the Carrera races will be highlights only, if its shown at all.

GT3 Challenge has struggled for entries so might be one to miss.

Rather annoying that Silverstone is the closest track to me, but the tickets are the most expensive.

Well we've known that since the start of the season, afterall they did sign Andy Neate. This would have been more suitable...

That was a great episode. That was the one where the Missing Words round was all foreign Roy Hattersly wasn't it?

Yes you're both right. Amazing episode and one of the finest moments in HIGNFY.

Meanwhile the Hondas don't even expect to be in the top ten in qualifying

Yeah I don't believe that for a second.

One team is even considering bringing out a Super-2000 spec Vauxhall as it won't suffer the same restrictions and since Silverstone is only a few straights and a couple of corners then it won't suffer the same disadvantage as their NGTC machine!

C'mon TOCA, when teams are even thinking about bringing back out of date machinery because the engine isn't over-restricted, you have to realise you've got this wrong, badly.

Plato (unsurprisingly) thinks he's stuffed as well.

Looking like a WSR walkover at the moment.

That's been suggested before (Dynamics I think, last year but never happened) but knowing his normal behaviour it wouldn't suprise me to see 888 and Plato heading out in a Vectra.

I almost hope that it happens, just to prove how crazy the rules are at the moment.

No chance all of them are deliberately going to back off so they get less boost restrictions for the Finale? :?

The track was damp, so the times aren't representative. 24 cars entered  :
