That's as much of a penalty as they'll ever give him.

Is that just disqualification from race 3, or from the whole day? Sucks either way.

This is from Redstone Racing's Facebook page:

Unfortunately Mat Jackson has been excluded from race three due to a technicality. Although it's a disappointing end to the day, there is still lots to celebrate this weekend - onwards and upwards to Thruxton in two weeks' time.

Race 3 only. Strange, as it means they adjust the boost between races, which they shouldn't.

But it does give Tony Gilham his first ever podium which is awesome.

What a days racing. Really enjoyed those three races. And Plato and Neate? Well there's a match made in heaven. 888 and MG should be ashamed of having those two novices aboard. I'm done with Plato. I've been a long-time supporter but that's all out of the window.

Gee look at me, Codename's Plato-hatred is rubbing off on me. And it feels good :)

My goodness, Plato should race with a giant trollface decal on his hood.

You try and like Plato, for all the great drives he has, and just when you think you could actually like him, he goes and drives like a prick...again.

I'd like to put a wager on someone giving him a smack at some point this season. I was actually quite please Collard gave him the finger and put him into the wall at the start line in race 2. Everyone else gives him room time and time again. People need to race him like he races them.

Angry drivers with a score to settle as the series heads to Thruxton?

Eeesh, this will end well! 8O

Well Plato "agrees" with the stewards decision to serve him with the penalty and even said he "suggested" the stewards switch the positions because the move was probably a little OTT. Where's the rolling eyes smiley when you need it?

Shedden on the other hand is saying the penalty wasn't harsh enough. Can't say I disagree with him.

You know what, it's been 11 years and it's as if Plato never left 888. Afterall, he's driving much the as he did when he was released in 2001.
