Well, I really enjoyed 2006/7/8/9. So maybe I'm just a bit deluded.

There did seem to be a few more processions than usual last season, but it was still a good one. Intrigued to see the results this weekend as I get the feeling attrition could play a big part.

Ahhh that special time of year when I get confused between the news thread and the actual race discussion thread!

Apparently qualifying WILL be on the website on Saturday, but it hasn't exactly been promoted well....

Anyone seen a timetable for the weekend, incidentally?

I think we need a poll for the weekend:

What will cause codename_47 to have his first Plato related rant of the weekend?

1) Plato qualifying in the top 10
2) Plato thanking his team for their efforts in a grid interview
3) Plato winning a race
4) ITV concentrating their pre-race show on Plato and his move to the new MG team
5) Plato making minor or major with any car
6) Something else
7) All of the above

Yep, we all know how much ITV loves to fap over Plato.

I'll be ranting to myself on a train and probably not posting here until Monday Lunchtime, so you'll all have to rant on my behalf if you want one from me! :p

I can't see him getting through 3 races without contact though (assuming the MG isn't fast enough to qualify on pole and blitz the field anyway) so I'm gonna vote 5, or possibly 6, Plato intentionally wrecking someone because they made minor contact with his car! :p

Some early pics from the Friday test at Brands:

Good sized fields in the supports - 25 Clios, 21 Porkers, 17 Ginettas and 14 Juniors. Hope ITV show the Saturday Clio race on Sunday as I assume they'll record the Borsche race as well.

Wait, 25 Clios!?!

That's just made my day.

FP1 - Shedden stopped on track, Thorne crashed. Collard-Austin-TOC the top 3

That's going to be a mighty effort to get fixed

Neate 19th, exactly 4 seconds down. Plato 20th, 4.2 seconds down.

I (sort of) hope for their sake that they were shaking the cars down and not actually pursuing performance.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Thorne's crash looks like it was a biggy. Hope they do get the car out this weekend.

The now finished MG. Looks so much better without all that white on it:

The Clios are really close. The top 20 are covered by less than a second at the moment.

That MG does look a lot better if I'm being honest with the black.
