Apparently BTCC legend Frank Sytner had a heart attack yesterday during the Donington Historic Festival and is under sedation in hospital. Overshadows this a bit, I guess. Was it mentioned during the coverage?

MacDowell has picked up another 2 points for his unique overtake on Collard.

I hope RML have scouted out replacements.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Sad news about Frank.

And looks like we may have Robb Huff covering for MacDowell at some point in the year.

He's had heart problems before and had to have a double bypass or something. Get well soon, Frank.

-Andy Neate really can't drive. He straight lined the chicane three times in race 1 alone, once under the yellow flag for Plato's crash. He ought to be disqualified for that.
-John George either had some problems or was just trying too hard. He had massive understeer today.
-The Ginetta race that ITV cut 11 laps out of was actually a very good race. Lots of close racing, overtaking and lead changes. The reason Sharp was so far back is that he was too busy murdering his tyres all weekend.
-The Porsches didn't seem to spread out as much as they usually do, so the races weren't really that bad. I think the reason for Harvey & Caine struggling is that they've been ballasted (I'm not entirely sure on that but I think I read it somewhere).
-The Juniors looked slow because they were on the rev-limiter pretty much all the way from Church to Club (they have a top speed of 120mph).
-Plato's crash was definitely caused by him pushing too hard but then he had to just to keep up he was the only NA car in the top 10 at the time. In race 2 he was quite reserved, not really pushing the car at all, running about the same pace as MacDowall (who only got the fastest lap because he cut the chicane). In race 3 you could tell he was really on it, going much deeper into the chicane than anyone else. The only people who were pushing anywhere near as hard were Boardman & Jackson.
-Collard came out with a good quote after race 2, something like, "It's like a fun fair, being hit off by a bunch of amateurs".
-I do feel a bit sorry for Alice Powell after she was taken out in both races (I'm not going to comment on her appearance, she doesn't live that far away from me and I don't want risk being found...)

What happened to Chilton?

He and Jordan ran wide onto the grass fighting each other, Jordan saved it but Chilton went wider and found the barrier.

He certainly likes to have big accidents here.

After just 9 races? Surely that's a BTCC record
