I was in the right place at the right time. Never actually saw the incident, but I saw Plato leading Neal and knew something would happen. Obvious foul play from Plato?

For someone meeting their favourite lady racer, you look absolutely petrified.

Well, she looks happy enough.

You might've been the only person to go and see her.

Does Josh still have the mop on his head?

I didn't see Josh. He definitely had it last time I saw him at Snetterton.

Walking around the Ginetta Junior paddock made me feel old. :(

Consequently, both drivers have been fined £1000 and had three penalty points added to their competition licences. The stewards have also requested that the BTCC Administrator imposes a six-place grid penalty (applicable to both drivers), suspended for the balance of the 2011 season.

Doesn't that make Plato three points away from a ban?

So what was build up to the incident? I've read that Plato break checked Neal but something must have ruffled JP's feathers for him to do that. Any ideas?

I hate you all so very much.

:p

Is it possible to see qualifying again anywhere? Or could someone explain the whole Plato/Neal incident?

There are 3 parts to it from what I gather.

-As they leave the pits once the red flag for Griffin is lifted, Plato gets in the way somehow of both Hondas.

-On the one and only flying lap that they do after the red flag, Plato (who already has pole) allegedly brakechecks Neal and forces him to compromise his lap, meaning that he can't improve on his 4th.

-When they get back to the pits, Neal confronts Plato and lifts his fist as a threat.

The show tomorrow should have replays of all 3 incidents, or at least the final two.

Thanks for the explanation. I'm intriuged by what happened as according to Crash.net they made contact a couple of times. I won't get to see the pre-race show so would somebody mind uploading this part of tomorrow's program?

It did look like in the first incident that Plato side-swiped Sheddon.

Neal definitely had a dent in the front of his car as well.

*Reads Qualy result on Autosport.com*

NOOOOOO!!!!

*Reads detailed analysis of Qualy*

Plato...MUST.....DIE! (Or be banned?)

*Head Explode*

How does a 40+something year old man get away with this? Why does the sanctioning body allow this kind of behaviour from its supposed leading light?
Can you imagine Frank Wrathall going out and holding up a rival teams cars, swerving into them and causing them damage and then starting the next race?
Heck even Tom Chilton wouldn't get away with that....
Yet Plato is allowed to!

The most gauling thing about it now is Plato will probably start from Pole and win this race tomorrow, and it'd only take one divebomb down at Dean to knock out the two Hondas and he's right in the championship hunt.
I guess just by Proxy of my Plato hatred I've kinda been supporting Neal and IMO Nine Times out of then in their clashes he's the innocent victim (No, really! Thinking back to the famous 2 crashes in one lap at Snetterton...06? Which were both completely Plato imo) Matt's just a bit rough with other drivers when he doesn't need to be, but through this year he's come on strong, not got into any silly business (Oulton aside!) when he didn't have to and been the bigger man (hurr) in his fights with dickwad.
Will certainly be cheering for him to hit three titles before Plato does....

I just wish Plato had tried something on Matt and it was caught on camera that it was deliberately twatface provoking it, then Matt could lay down a beating in self defence and shit for brains could cop a penalty for the rest of the year.

I mean, remember those two FFord drivers who had a brawl at Rockingham in..oooh...2003?
Didn't they get a year long ban or something?

Time to clamp down on the guy who is supposed to be setting an example for others!
(Not that superwanker could ever think of anyone but himself for 2 milleseconds!)

From what I was told (did not see it, only told), Neal hit Plato rather hard when he brake checked him.
