He was rather clean I think. He's no Chris Swanwick that's for sure

I imagine Swanwick will be in another series next year.

Brisca?

Hughes' car looks quite good.

Ingram was a fairly clean driver this year. Can't actually think of any shunts he was involved in off the top of my head just now.

Ingram was usually the one pulling away out in front whilst all hell would break loose behind.

Less white please, but other than that a nice simple design.

I think that's meant to be silver.

Thanks for pointing that out, I couldn't tell from my shitty work laptop. Silver looks good.

This weeks Motorsport News says that:
- Chevrolet are looking for a 3rd driver to go alongside Jason Plato & probably Alex MacDowell.
Rupert Manwaring. Chevrolet Commercial Head wrote:
"Jason Plato is our number one choice as a driver and Alex MacDowell has come on hugely over the latter part of the BTCC season. If we have the right commercial structure in place, we have the capability to run three cars and that is what we would like to do. We would look to put a winning driver in the third car"

MN suggest that Mat Jackson might be that 3rd driver...

-WSR will return to the sport next year with its Super 2000 BMWs should it fail to land manufacturer support. If talks break down with unnamed manufactuers then they'll return with the rear-wheel drive BMWs. Dick Bennetts said that they'd like to run two cars in the BTCC and two cars in the WTCC with Colin Turkington heading up the driving team (presumably in the WTCC?)

This probably isn't going to happen

Yes, and even then they couldn't complete the season if memory serves me correct.

That is true, they left after Knockhill I believe, but again if memory serves me correctly that was down to an issue with Clyde Valley Racing, the team who were running the cars, not the sponsor themselves, so if they go solo who knows?

Well if Eaves is their driver then we can be sure everything will go wrong for them

What had Eaves done prior to that year to have such bad luck? Seeing how it went for him I reckon he'd walked under multiple ladders, broke every mirror he stood in front of and just to add insult to injury a herd of black cats walked in front of his car as he drove to the first race of the season.

Yeah I know, that was point. :p

Third driver should be Gio...

Plato would love that! :p

I'd imagine he's got veto power over team-mates now he's champ.

I'd imagine Chevy would want Gio more than Plato wouldn't want him, and they would have the final say.

I would imagine Plato would have a fair amount of clout with Chevy and Ray Mallock given he was the one who took them back to the BTCC and has repaid them with a title and runners-up spot in the first two years of the relationship. Without JP and his money / sponsors early in 2009 it is unlikley there would even be a Chevy team in the BTCC.

Exactly kals, Plato is going to have some clout within the team. He's a proven champion so if he doesn't want Gio in the team they won't push the issue.

And Plato's ego is going to inflate even more.

To be honest I'd only be excited about a 3rd Chevy team if Honda or Ford were to do the same, otherwise it seems a bit pointless.

More cars the better for me. I thought Ford were going to run a 3rd car anyway.

The third Focus is no longer guranteed, though. With TOC possibly leaving, Team AON's financial position and that needed to run it, it is unlikely to happen.
