This is the Utes crash from fencecam (well, at least this fan didn't film his feet!)

And here's highlights of the 2 V8 Supercar races:

Race 2:

Some stunning Slow Motion work this weekend, Surfers is rapidly becoming the greatest race in Motorsport, TV coverage wise.

I was thinking, with V8SC management wanting two North American rounds in 2015...what are the chances of the second race being in Montreal? The only only two other tracks in North America with F1 style pit lanes/garages are Indy and Montreal.

Pretty good races at the Gold Coast. Gutted for Courtney/Murphy, delighted for Ingall and Reynolds.

Michael Patrizi may be a shit driver, but he's great entertainment. He retired his Porsche right in front of me in one of the races (I stood at the exit of Turn 13), told the officials to stick it where the sun don't shine when told to get on the other side of the fence; next thing you know, two guys have approached him from a hotel room and he's sitting there watching a race he retired from drinking a couple of glasses of champagne! That, plus music and boobs from balconies, and it was a great weekend. Oh, and apparently there was a car race on too...

Patrizi was headbutted by a director of team sponsor Tex Onsite after finishing 17th in the 2008 Supercheap Auto 1000

The Clipsal 500 format for next season has been changed in 2 ways. Firstly the races will finish at 7:30pm local time. Secondly, the Saturday race has been split into 2x 125km races.

Perhaps, but the times they seem to have scheduled the two Saturday heats for next years Clipsal 500 fit neatly around the 6pm Channel 7 news (which i'd assume was a motivator for splitting the Saturday format)
