It was an over-reaction but it made up for the lax attitude they'd had for years before. But it was still an over-reaction. If it hadn't been Ayrton, most of the tracks on the calendar that were altered wouldn't have been
What boggles my mind about the Senna crash was the fact that he hit a concrete wall....tyre barriers were in operation long before then so why did they never chuck any at that corner?
It's not even at a dangerous point where you could say a tyre barrier would make it more dangerous because it would repel the cars back into the racing line, there was sufficient room...
But it's too late now, sadly.
