Barrichello tears

Driver of the day: Plato by far
Driver of the season: I'd go with Plato, he was brilliant. Gio was too flat this year, Turkington was fast but unspectacular, but a worthy champion

It would be rather funny if Turks got a penalty for punting Matt Neal off.

That was very impressive from Plato. 8th-1st without barging anyone out of the way to do it.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

It was only fair with the tactics Neal and VX were using.

End of season :(

Best race of 2009, much better season than 2008 which just had Gio strolling to it

Plato just 5 points behind Turkington... man he must regret the start of the year when he wasnt thinking about the title.

Plato + Chevvy = 2010 Domination

Good point, he never had the opportunity to hit anyone else.

I'm sort of depressed now. This is the best the BTCC will be for a while to come. Next year there's (probably) no Gio, no works outfits, and there's a lot of other things that are up in the air as well.

Yeah, but can we dump Silverstone for Spa? Can we open a BTCC 2010 Discussion thread? :flag:

The first half of that race was some of the most mental stuff I've ever seen. Amazing.

Congrats to Colin, thoroughly deserved!

BTCC at Spa would suck...sorry it just would, too long straights.

BTCC is at its best at tight twisty tracks with one or two straights to let them stretch their legs.

I guess Thruxton is the exception to the rule but Spa would have them on the rev limiter from just past Eau Rouge in all likelyhood
It'd be like restrictor plate racing with them all stalled out in a pack..

Oh wait, what am I talking about, yeah lets go for it!

I think Plato must regret not going for the title at the start of the year.

Kudos to him though, he and Chevrolet should come back next year with speed

Gio
