Oh well, I can tell you that you all missed that rare collectors item - a dull Clio race!

What an amazing day it was! So sad it is all over for another year.

And jdh is right. There was a bit of a shunt on the first lap of the Clio's and then nothing happened. BTCC was amazing, i had to move to see one of the big screens to see what was happening. So exciting!

Brilliant racing as always yesterday.

ITV were just as bad as usual. Missed starts, wrong standings shown, mics that didn't work, blind cameramen, on-board cameras that lose their signal whenever they go past anything that casts a shadow, etc...

Haven't been able to see every race, but I downloaded all three yesterday in hopes I'd see Turkington take the championship, and I was not disappointed. The racing could not have been better all around, and as cheesed off as I am that Plato won from Chilton, that was a hell of a finish. So thrilled for Colin, he really did deserve it. A class act. :)

This seems like the right place for this.

I'm not normally suspicious, but the wife told me yesterday that Gavin from Autoglass came round and injected his special resin into her crack. She hasn't even got a car!

Here are a few of my videos from the weekend.

First up, the crash from the first Ginetta G50 Cup race on Saturday between Colin White and Joachim Ritter. Think you guys saw this one on TV:

Then from Saturday's second race, Adam Morgan gets spun into the barriers on the first lap:

Another incident from Saturday's second race, Julien Draper gets nerfed off into the Paddock Hill tyre barrier:

Onto Sunday, this was the moment Jason Plato took the lead in BTCC Race 3:

And when Colin Turkington crossed the line to win the championship:

I think that's the one they mentioned a few times in the commentary where the chasis parted company with the engine.
I imagine it was a bit similar to the last time that happened at Donington in 2006.

I forgot I was subscribed to a video poster on youtube who videos exclusively from Westfield Bend whenever there is action on track...

Here at last is that crash:
