Something maybe to keep an eye on over the winter is that Ford may be increasing their involvement in the Arena team. According to Touring Car times they are evaluating entering the WTCC in 2011 and may view the BTCC as a launch pad to that.

Well they picked the best time since Arena finally seemed to work out how to get those cars near the pace at Brands.

Ford Vs Volvo for BTCC 2010?

I think this is DEFINATELY GOING TO HAPPEN!

(And there'll be 30 cars on the grid too :p )

It wont be a full works team, more semi-works. And Ford are apparently looking at selling Volvo which would take any issues on that front away. And Ford had a large group at Brands.....

As I was walking through Cheltenham city centre earlier today with the wife and son I noticed 3 BMW X1s being parked and demo'ed in rather an odd spot. One drove off and as the three of us walked past I saw a rather familiar person showing a Ninendo Wii game from the boot of one of the cars. It was Paul O'Neill, dressed in BMW corporate gear. I walked on a little further and turned back to look again only to see Tom Onslow-Cole also in BMW gear doing the same but with the second car. I thought it was quite cool to see them both.

That's quite strange considering neither are BMW drivers.

It is just promo stuff. Neither of them are tied to manufacturers in the series so are free to do pretty much any promo work that comes their way, plus they'll get a decent chunk of £££ for these days.
