What do they mean by "we'll likely be the only Chevy's on the grid next year?" :?

Unless Vauxhall have found a buyer for their cars after all..... :?

Would seem a bit of an odd one, the Chevy has made huge strides forward this season.

Yeaa, I don't see the point in switching to the Vauxhalls.

It doesn't say that. It says they might be the only team running Lacettis. RML might still enter with some Cruzes.

I very much doubt that they would be the only team to run the Lacetti's. They seem to be quick cars, so it would be a surpirse if no one bought them off RML, or RML ran them themselves again.

On another note, there may be an announcement on Triple 8's plans for next year at either the Rockingham or Brands meetings.

I guess that's good news. If it was just "we're quitting, see ya" they'd know that by now so this suggests they're waiting for some kind of deal to take place.

I just hope the deal is for the BTCC though...

Yes I reckon this could be more like it.

That is a shame as he has been a good addition but hopefully it will allow him to be on the grid in 2010.

I'm sure the team are happy they don't have another Chevy out there they can use to help Plato's (albiet small) title chances!

Oh well, hope he returns in 2010

10 days before we hopefully have a new manufacturer:

And it looks like Neal will be confirmed a Team Dynamics driver next year

Overall he's not had a good time at his second spell at Vauxhall has he? What is it, two wins from 60 races with them?

So not a surprise.

Any news on Triple 8's plans for next year?

Surprised Neal played the team orders game so blatently at Brands if he already knew he was leaving Triple 8, it was almost as unsubtle as at Thruxton just before he joined Vauxhall.

Steve Neal said wrote:
Twelve months ago at this meeting we had a hell of deal going with Honda and were going to have a whole package, but then Gordon [Brown – prime minister] screwed us all and we had the problem with Honda pulling the plug on F1 and laying off people at the factory in Swindon.

Is he seriously suggesting the entire credit crunch was Brown's fault and that in turn meant Dynamics didn't get a Honda works deal?

Unless he meant Gordon Shedden and the article writer edited it to suit his own political bias.

Still, Matt Neal might have only won few races with Vauxhall but I think if he'd been with Dynamics he wouldn't have exactly won many more.
It was only really Thompson that could drag that car near the front. Herbert might be able to with more experience, we'll see.

I doubt Shedden has that much power, lol. Besides, he raced for the team at the first round and any official Honda involvement would have had to be in place well before then. Steve Neal's always been a loudmouth - he'll have just taken the opportunity to throw some personal politics into the interview.
