The second race meeting of the 2010 British Touring Car Championship sees the series head to the Rockingham track in Northamptonshire:

The opening three rounds at Thruxton saw Fabrizio Giovanardi winning twice for 888, but he has since become a victim of his lack of funding, and despite leading the championship has been replaced by James Nash. Steven Kane won the other race at Thruxton, but it's effectively Jason Plato who leads the way after three solid results in his Chevrolet Cruze:

Yes.

Martin Depper might miss the round due to travel issues:
http://www.btcc.net/html/generalnews_detail.php?id=1889

From another site:
Quote:
Martin Depper has fallen foul of the current volcano debacle in Finland which has seen all flights come to a standstill and leaves Martin and his family stranded in America with no clear indication into a timescale of when the family can arrive back into the country.

Has BTCC ever tried to race the Rockingham Oval? It's one of the most intertesting ones I know.

They have never raced on the oval. The nearest they have got to that has been using the oval's turn 4 with an extended run from close to turn 3 plus in the last few years they have been using turn 1.

Must be the base weight surely, with it being his first race of the season.

Think late entries used to be given a penalty weight for their first round didn't they? Someone needs to go look at the regs
