I gather you guys had fun last year with this race and a certain tree...

Snett's always good fun. I'm probably going to miss the beginning of the action but I'm not going to miss race 3. Always good fun here

Wonder if they'll show the Heritage GTs this year? Seems to fit into the live schedule.

I don't know what to think ahead of this round. The races will be either really tame with the Fords driving away, or they'll be utterly insane.

If I'm allowed a shameless plug, I'd like more people to take part in the pick em's. Link's in my sig.

I usually go to Snetterton every year but I forgot it was this weekend. I'll probably just wake up early on Sunday and see if I have the urge to go or not.

Actually I missed it last year but at least I was a part of the Dick, Powell, tree, simples thread. Good times!

Wow! Seven hours of live coverage. Wish that would happen here in Canada so the support series could be seen at major races.

No way the thread can be as barmy as last year. That just happened, you can't re-create that circumstance again.

Unless we did a drinking game for every time the tree was in shot!

So happy to have decent racing back unfettered by manufacturer bullshit or strange penalties or anything like that.

And at a damn fine track too...Yay(tree) for Snetterton!

With this unbroken sequence of terrifying crashes that stretches back for months, I'm quite nervous that there'll be more of the same here.

Not like the circuit doesn't have a history of that sort of thing.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

BTCC has largely been staying out of the large crashing phase for ages now...

I can only remember two massive shunts and they both took place in the same year, at the same track, at the same place!
(Albiet at different rounds...;) )

When it comes to Snetterton, you might get a lot of comedy with cars flying off into the crops, but only really the bombhole section has something to hit on the outside....
(Unless its an open wheeler wanting to go flying halfway down the straight, but FRenault rarely does things that exciting, especially in its latest guise!)

BTW, Has the summer break tempted out more Clios, anyone know?

Yeah, for a series that seems to have a bit of a reputation for crashes, they really haven't had that many huge, spectacular crashes in the last 10 years. John George's and Tom O-C's at Brands are the two that have made me go "oh shit", especially the John George one. I guess we had bigger crashes in the super touring era because the cars were faster.
