Did I miss anything good in R2 and R3?

I just don't see the logic in that. The 6 points make a much larger difference to TOC then Chilton. Does AON not want to win the drivers championship? or have they taken the Chilton must finish ahread of TOC at all costs attitude?

I dunno, just cos of the sheer illogical-ness of it I kinda believed TOC in race 1 when he said he missed a gear and lost momentum *shrug*

Race 3 was amazing though, I guess the sudden friendship between Plato and Neal is off

Plato was at fault though, as usual, he shouldn't have turned in like that, you can't always go for the racing line at turn 1 of the first lap!

I find it quite ironic though that the only time he would've been justified in using the tarmac runoff for a good reason (IE to avoid an accident rather than a speed advantage) he didn't. Funny that pretty much the only time all weekend that he wanted to use that bit of tarmac was when Neal's car was alongside his!

I don't know if anyone has noticed here, but that Plato fellow is a bit of a dick

Welcome to national level racing. The backers are always pickier

The title race is looking nice though. If Shedden & Chilton can have good races in Knockhill in (is it 2 weeks time?) then we could have a 5 way battle :D

Race 3 was great.

If TOC had been allowed to win races 1 and 2 it doesn't mean he would have won race 3, therfore the points gap may well have still been 14 points. Lets just be happy he's in the title fight aganist that whingebag. Oh I'd love to be to see a Plato post final race interview if he were to pipped to the title by a Focus.

As for the Plato and Neal incident, it was 50/50. Just a racing incident. No-one's fault entirely.

Indeed it is. Should be really unpredictable, although I do expect the Focuses to win the 3 races again, come rain or dry.

Yeah, I loved Plato moaning after R1 about the speed of the Fords, just after everyone at home got told they were 6th and 7th in the speed traps

That's Plato, if he's not first then everyone ahead must have an unfair advantage.

And of course, he himself is allowed all the unfair advantages he wants (More Horsepower in the SEAT, cutting the track, crashing rivals off if they get too close, etc...)

You're beginning to sound a little obsessed :p I bet you have a Jason Plato voodoo doll and a picture of his face on a dart board at home?

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Well someone here managed to produce a TBK sticker for the HRT, so we must be able to find someone to make JP voodoo dolls and dart board covers. That could be quite a lucrative business.

It's more powerful if you make your own voodoo dolls. But you need something of Plato's to put in it. Perhaps an autograph would suffice?

Yesterday's racing was really good, even Formula Renault put on a good show in the morning.

Clios were better than I expected but the national layout usually produces close racing. Patrick Collins was the most entertaining driver of the race, going off almost every lap after his pit stop. He received a bigger round of applause than Dave Newsham after the race  .

Regarding the Juniors, I agree with everyone in this thread that Swanwick needs to be banned, his driving was disgusting and it wasn't at all surprising that that big crash happened. Excellent race though, and Ingram's drive was flawless.

Nothing really happened in the G50 race other than Wrathall & Breeze taking each other off and Ritter pootling around at the back. Why he didn't park it is beyond me.

The Porsches were their typical selves with not much action, although there were a lot of spins as people have already pointed out. Harvey was unusually off the pace, nearly losing second to Jelley in race 1. In race 2 Bob Lyons must have cracked an exhaust manifold or something, because his car got louder and louder as the race went on. His rear bumper actually vibrated itself loose towards the end. Richard Denny was quite unlucky in his crash, hitting the wall where the armco ended an the concrete began.

The second BTCC race was the best of the day. Incredibly close racing (the drivers were probably making up for the poor show at Snetterton) and Dave Pinkney repeatedly breaking down kept the crowd entertained. It's just a shame that Arena spoilt it slightly with team orders. Mat Jackson did absolutely the right thing by shoving Chilton out of the way in race 3, Onslow-Cole was clearly the faster driver all day.

Silverstone really need to fix the PA system and the scoreboard. I couldn't hear any of the commentary during the races and the wrong names were always being shown on the scoreboard. It would be nice if it showed what lap the race was on as well.

I sometimes have to deliver mail to Plato's parents house. Maybe I should send them some Focus brochures or Matt Neal posters.

How about some sort of fake advert that says 'Add some Turbo boost to your Chevrolet'
