Mikey Doyle to get some points on merit, brilliant.

He's having an awesome race... unfortunatley it's the kind of story that tends to come to a tragic end with a lap or two to go with people like Chilton in close attendence...

Nah. If Plato and Gio swap places the gap will go up to 42- currently at 38.

Turk is 4th.

The gap between the two is 44 points.

Doyle gets 8th.

I think that's pretty much it as far as the championship goes

Great weekend for Jackson. He deserves a win from that

Jackson and Jones have made consistent claims to some sort of works drives this year - they're both punching way above their weight in those cars.

Grats to Doyle - awesome result in an ancient car.

It's a shame that there are still only five works drives available, because there is some fantastic talent proving itself in the series at the moment.

ITV really are getting used to the Seat garage at the end of a weekend, aren't they?

I have to say that that was one of the best events I've been to. The 2nd BTCC race was absolutely mental and the crowd went nuts almost every lap  .

Formula Renault was quite disappointing as usual. The only things that happened in the first race were that a couple of cars crashed through one of the Dunlop boards on the first lap and Buzaid got 2 drive-through penalties.

The SEATs were quite good. Byford did his best to entertain the crowds again. Adam started on pole, but went off at Luffield, which meant that Herron led most of the race. Adam came back through the field from 6th to win the race.

The Porsches put on a couple of really good races with lots of overtaking in both. Tim Harvey was brilliant.

I thought the Formula Renault race was quite good (the one they showed on TV). Lots of battles, no one wanted to finish 3rd and Christodulu (spelling?) doing a suicide move around turn 1 and spinning in front of the field.

I really enjoyed the racing at Silverstone. I thought the FRenault race that they showed on tv was an absolute cracker. They produced more entertainment in that race than their whole season.

I have no idea why, but the Porsches have really picked up their game. Again really enjoyed the race seen on tv.

Clios were a disappointment. Thought there would be tons of carnage and SC's. Must be saving it up for Brands.

BTCC was nuts aswell.

Overall, really enjoyed the coverage and, for some unknown reason could stand to watch that Jaime women.

I thought the Clios provided a good race, lots of sliding and spinning.

Meh, it was a good race. Maybe just expected 50 million cars off at the first corner or something.

I did enjoy the race though.

The Clios haven't looked as good since the Ginettas came in alongside them

Clios looked fun to drive in the rain.

Good racing all round.

Clio's used to be the most junior tin-top format on the BTCC bill, so presumably there used to be more inexperienced drivers in it before the Ginettas joined in. Think the new Clio model might be a factor too, from what I've seen it's easier to recover when it gets sideways (maybe because it's longer wheelbase?)

Porsche's are being helped by having a nearly sensible number of cars on the grid...
