In other news, I found Alex and finished him off

For those of you of a retarded nature, I did not really kill Compare the Meerkat's spokes'kat', if I had, he would have been strangled by the jacket he wears. And besides, he's not real.

Wow , I missed the event and when I saw this 40 page thread I first thought some monumental crash or so must have happened. Instead it was great racing, some incidents and funny conversations.

Apologies if this question has already been covered off, but why did Arena only field one Ford Focus at Snetterton?

Good grief, they didn't just suddenly move a tree there in 2004. And you can't see it in the 2003 shot because you've taken it from the entry to Riches, not the exit facing Sear (which is where the tree is).

Also, as shown by an older avatar of it, the tree has been a source of amusement for years, not just this year.

I can confirm the tree was already cheering when Adam Carroll crashed his Lola F3 car in early 2003...

And yes, that tree could be like 50 years old or something. I wonder if anyone has a picture of it when it was a mere sapling?

Any semblance of humour remaining with the tree has been killed off by this absurd history lesson. Trees take decades to grow, and this one was probably there when Snetterton first opened. There, done.

Me neither. Although i just looked through some of my amateur filming from last season and saw it standing tall cheering as a couple of Porsches went off.

Is it possible to email anyone from the BTCC to tell them what a shite decision they made with Nash?

Same here. And I think it's quite funny that we never noticed it before. That was the reason why I decided to add some older pictures of it ... but sure you need a sense of humour to laugh with it
