Loose screws on the steering wheel isn't a good look for a team at this level. Comfortable for SVG in the end.

Powerful open wheelers back at the Gold Coast send out good vibes, you love to see it

A shame there's only 9 of them and not too much happened in the race, but I coasted through on nostalgia alone

And they're headed to Adelaide 500 next round too, nice....

Please please please double the field for 2023, somehow

Unfortunately the car count has regressed from 2021. But maybe 2023 (no more travel restrictions) they can finally get some international drivers/entries because that was part of the plan originally.

S5000 need better tyres. The cars currently scare off a lot of potential younger drivers because they're such a handful with concrete rubber. Sure the costs would increase for a weekend but it would encourage a much healthier field

Lot of damage in all that and a major time setback to prepare for gen 3. Lol poor BJR and tickford as always.

Cam Hill has been confirmed at MSR making him the second rookie next year. The grid is basically finalised now, only three of the BJR cars aren't confirmed and there isn't likely to be changes there.

https://www.speedcafe.com/2022/11/23/sandown-500-return-confirmed-in-release-of-2023-supercars-calendar/

The 2023 schedule is out. Some good news in that the Sandown 500 is back as an endurance race, but some sad news in that they couldn't find a replacement for Pukehohe, though they have said that they intend to return to NZ in 2024. Also off the schedule is Winton in favour of the returning Newcastle 500, which will be the season opener. Overall the season will be down an event from this year.

I'm actually happy with the schedule, for the first time in a long time. Even though Winton is nearly a home race for me I'm not too sad it's gone as it never produced much. Tailem Bend isn't an enduro, as they had discussed at one stage, Sandown 500 is back.

Only annoyances I have is no NZ (go to Highlands please) or Phillip Island.

Also, it hasn't been discussed here, but I've seen Calder Park might be returning to the calendar in 2024. State based racing is returning their next year.

Calder is definitely not coming back while Sandown is still around. NZ, Winton, Phillip Island and QR (which has been upgraded recently) are all more likely to come back before it. And Calder will apparently need a fair bit of work to get a proper track license, the series that's running there next year isn't under Motorsport Australia sanction.

Calder Park should focus on being an Oval rather than just another road course track in a crowded market.....

They won't, but they should.... :innocent:
