Quote:
Kelly Grove Racing has confirmed it is dealing with NSW Health with regards to a COVID-19 vaccination situation that has emerged in the Repco Supercars Championship paddock.

It became apparent yesterday that a driver – whose identity was initially kept anonymous until being made public by another media organisation today – was facing questions about the validity of a medical exemption.

David Reynolds has now been named as the driver under investigation.

Sydney Motorsport Park had previously announced double vaccination (or valid exemption) as being a requirement of entry.

Speedcafe.com understands there is no proof of wrongdoing on Reynolds’ behalf at this point in time

It’s believed that Reynolds has left the Sydney region.

Just confirmed that he'll be out for the remaining SMP events as the exemption was found invalid. He's now had his first shot though so he might be back for Bathurst since there should be enough time to have his second before then. In the meantime, his co-driver Luke Youlden is apparently the favourite to replace him, meaning he might be getting his first ever starts in a single-driver race after 20 years of co-driving. Rick Kelly, Matt Campbell and Lee Holdsworth have also been suggested as replacements.

Another round is on. Feels like deja vu, but I guess the race will be at night

Brown got his first pole for the race tonight. On the other hand De Pasquale is starting last because of a gearbox issue

Rain is very likely for the Sydney area tomorrow, so we could see some wet weather action (and possibly a wet night race)

He won by 17 seconds so he was like one second per lap faster than Whincup after he passed him

Let's hope de Pasquale & Brown have a trouble free race tomorrow.

Support races are going, and there's some pretty dark clouds around, though it looks like the rain is going to the south of the track atm

SVG's soft tires look to be done so AdP has this in the bag IMO.

Hazelwood had some issues on the last lap so Whincup didn't finish last ;)

It's raining and the track is wet. Storms are coming. Race won't go full distance.

Fair bit of work to fix the tyre barrier, could be a fairly long SC
