Bit of a wild first lap in the main race with the track being damp. Heimgartner leads lap one after dropping to 3rd or 4th at one point. SVG is up to 3rd.

Disastrous stop for SVG. He was already about 10 seconds behind Heimgartner when he came in.

He looked to be okay with the pit lines. Strange the hose didn't reach.

What have they done to these utes and why do they look slower now (they're probably quicker even, could just be the Bend effect)

Unlike last year it seems that there won't be a border dash, with Supercars apparently asking the Victorian teams to wait it out as they'd have to go into quarantine if they left now and some teams apparently being understandably reluctant to leave.

So Supercars are uploading A LOT of old races from ca 2000-2005 on their Youtube page. Is any of those season worth watching?
